What do you observe at the first glimpse in a shrine. Large no of crowd ( note very few devotees ). Its not the same at every shrine or temple . A famous shrine invites more traffic relatively compared to the local temples . On the contrary we humans have been ingested with the belief that the almighty present in famous shrines is the solution and wish granter to all our problem compared to the neglected god present in local temples . Prejudiced World Isn't it . Well this is also the main reason for the variation in the crowd flux across the different shrines. Selfish Human's ( Me too not an exception ) . Every deity in this different shrines have an all different set of blessings to be granted depending on the wishes that are demanded . Don't You think " One Stop solution " - The tag line should be boarded in front of all the Shrines . Sarcastic isn't it. Even the omnipotent would be laughing observing this strange behavior of human;'s since ages.
A few days back I happened to visit a well known shrine in India . Observation's Below :-
One of a devotee-couple came with few coconuts and a whole lot of other gestures to offer to the almighty as they were longing for a child since 5 years . Might me this was their one of the many visits before they get blessed with a child.
In the mean time the another site was another visitor ( not Devotee ) standing near the stair case of the shrine and gazing here and there with a curious look . Even i could not understand what was he staring at.
Another devotee to the temple was a trader -Bowing down and offering bribe to the almighty so that the prices of his stock rise immediately as he wanted to become a millionaire in one day --- Looks like he needs to understand " Get Rich Slowly - Patiently & Quietly"
In the mean time Another visitor came and what I observed was he was simply reiking the vicinity all observation depicted that he was in an opportunity to pick pocket the devotees at the shrine.
Another visitor almost in his late 50's was gazing at the females that were visiting and their flesh . Now way was his gazing innocent.
In a nut shell a few visitors came to get free from disease , some to get free from miseries some to get married etc etc . Unlimited wants isn't it. The most interesting thing is that all here came for a specific purpose/wish to be granted when all other resorts had failed be if astrology,palmistry,medicine etc etc.
Amidst all this while returning from the shrine got to meet a sage who was just passing by - In specific words algari baba not all distracted by the crowd and moving ahead smoking few chimes of ganja . The only clothing he wore was a small strip to hid his private parts . Fashion for him .
In the mean time a Pedestrian asked the Sage " Baba Bhagwan ke Darshan nai Karne " The reply was astounding - He Replied " Bhagwan ko shayad tum chod ke chale jate ho par mein use apne saath rakhta hun " -
"He replied may be you treat god as the last resort and I treat him as the only resort". The only difference between you and me . The almighty resides in my heart and that's this permanent place and not the shrine prejudiced by the so called society , I am a nomad without any address/abode . I have left all the worldly pleasures and hence don't want any thing . Whenever the almighty will give a call I will receive. 'God is not an option - He's a Necessity for Me"
